“It’s just business, it isn’t personal.” How many times have you heard that phrase? If we had to guess, probably a few times! And honestly, if our team had to voice an opinion, we’d challenge that perspective. Sure, numbers aren’t personal. If it doesn’t make sense from an ROI standpoint, pivot and try something new after a testing period.
The relationships you make, however, are personal. In the agency world, your clients are real people with real businesses and budgets and goals that can make or break a quarter or their year. When we sign a client, we are invested in their growth. Their wins feel like personal wins for our team. We LOVE helping companies show off their brand in new ways, breathe new life into tired websites, and, once we get to know you a little better, are constantly thinking about new ideas to add value to your company. Like, 2 a.m. wake up and write down an idea or brainstorm in the shower kind of new ideas. We literally can’t turn our marketing brains off!
So yeah, business is personal; it has to be in order to build relationships and brands that matter to you, the company, and your clients or customers. And if it isn’t, are you sure you are working toward the right goals with the right people?
