Lucky sushi & Lucky tea
OUR Services
Locally owned and operated in Grand Haven, Michigan since 2015, Lucky Tea Café offered an extensive collection of loose-leaf, bubble, and brewed teas. Introducing a full sushi menu in the spring of 2016, the business began to thrive! Before we knew it, Lucky Tea & Sushi Café was born.
Jump forward to spring of 2019, business was so wildly successful the possibility arose to open a separate storefront. Leverage saw the opportunity to take the best of both offerings and assign them their own identity packages complimenting the likeness of the other. Upon minting new names, signage, print collaterals, photography, and websites, each storefront was formally re-launched into their brand counterparts.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Marketing for a sushi restaurant means beautiful pictures, fun quotes, and sushi puns! We wanted to tie in the traditional Japanese cuisine while bringing in a fun voice. In addition to our regular promotions of sushi rolls and fun graphics, we promote monthly sushi specials, take-out deals, and hiring initiatives.
While their focus is on sushi, they have evolved into a one stop shop for all things seafood and Japanese cuisine. With the recent addition of Hibachi, Lucky Sushi has so much to offer, and we make sure everyone knows how awesome they are!
photography
Sushi can be really intimidating for some people. It is our job to ensure that a consumer knows what they’re ordering, and we want to take the unknown out of the equation. Food photography helps convey that!
Photos should reflect the aesthetic of the brand. For sushi photography this meant utilizing plain backgrounds that allow the colors of the rolls to pop out. Excellent lighting and minimal editing is essential for conveying the artistry of each dish.
WEBSITE AND PRINT
We wanted to incorporate the light and fun style of Lucky Sushi into any print material we created. In addition to the in-house menu, we also created to-go menus, business cards, tea instructions, and flyers for their monthly sushi special promotions.
When we think about printed material in the restaurant, we try to think about how the customers will view the brand. Especially since Grand Haven gets a lot of tourists in the summer, we wanted to make sure the website was easily navigated, and convenient to use.
